Neopets!!!
They're cute, they're cuddly.. but only if you want them to. :) Neopets is this virtual pet place where you can adopt a pet or 4 as your very own. You feed them, play with them, get items for them, make them smart, you can let them fight with other being in the neopets world, and you can play games and so much more.. The best part is, they can be cute, they can be scary, it's up to you!
I have 4 pets myself. Flarn the Quiggle, John_Black the Shoyru, Marlena_Black the Shoyru, and Vivian_Alamain the Shoyru. (A Quiggle is like a frog, as you can see below, and a Shoyru is like a dragon. There are dogs and horses and dinosaurs too..)

It's not like tamagochi where you do these simple things and get bored at it after a while. There is loads of stuff to do at neopets, which is why I keep returning there to play. You can have your very own store (dealing with neopoints, not money), you can go on exciting quests, you can fight other pets or villains in the Battledome, and then there's the many games to play and places to explore.. Take a look at these items you can buy:
They have over a million members by now, and still their servers are working well. I'm amazed... And yes, even "grown ups" can play. There are clubs you can join, they're called Guilds, and I personally am a member of the Over 21 Guild. So you see, even if you're "old", you're not alone. The Guilds help you with your problems, they hold contests, and it's just a great way to get to know people!
